I have entered one of my original works "...Completely" in the Texaco Country Showdown Songwriting Competition.
The way the contest works is simple:
My song (lyrics and mp3) has been place on my Profile Page accompanied by an invitation to Showdown users to vote for it. You must register (it's free) as a user in order to vote. The top five most voted on songs are evaluated by a panel of Nashville professionals and they choose the monthly winner!
The monthly winner will have their name and song featured on countryshowdown.com as a rotating banner on the title page for a 30 day time frame as well as earn the right to compete in the final round of competition in November where an esteemed panel of songwriting greats will choose from the previous several month's worth of monthly winners to determine the Grand Prize Winner! That winner will be invited to attend on January 2013 the Country Showdown National Final where their winning song will be announced.
Voting begins for this next round on June 5th,
